Music Suggestions From Michael
Cordner, Twin Cities tango teacher and DJ:
For beginning students
• DiSarli instrumentals
• Tanturi with Castillo
• Poema by Canaro
Favorites:
• Miguel Calo with Raul Beron--one of the best orchestras
of the 40s with the best vocalist ever.
• Jose Garcia / Ricardo Malerba--one CD with two great
orchestras that recorded very little.
• Carlos DiSarli instrumentals on RCA archivo, rerecorded
in the early to mid 50s--great sound, very lush, and a bit
slower than the original recordings.
From Dave Rost, Twin Cities tango DJ::
For beginning students
• Dos Maestros, Dos Estilos by Carlos Di Sarli/Juan
D'Arienzo
The top songs from the 2 masters of tango. Great fidelity.
• Vals Inolvidables by Various Artists
The best vals of Biagi, Calo, De Angeles and others.
